The TV method,
I am certain it will generate some response. :DYes, I am sure it will, ok, here goes....
So, you have a lot of dust on your sensor but you don't want to touch it because you are afraid you will damage it ! Well, if you simply have loose dust, not smears, there is an easy solution.
1) Enable the "Sensor cleaning" mode on your camera, with the lens removed, this will lift the mirror and open the shutter.
2) Hold the camera close to the tube of a TV that is not switched on, with the lensmount pointing towards the tube, 2-3cm away is good.
3) While holding the camera like that switch on the TV !
4) The dust on the sensor will simply jump onto the TV tube due to the high static charge !
5) Remove the camera in front of the TV quickly or the dust could jump right back onto the sensor, this is due to the dust's charge being reversed while on the TV tube and it will then be pushed away from the tube again, about a second is good.
BTW, switching the TV OFF also works as static is also build up.
I know it sounds crazy but it does work !
Happy cleaning,
Rudi

ciao
